Blog Journal 8

  • I really enjoyed using diigo in this class. At first diigo confused me because it has to be downloaded each time to different computers. I think it is very useful being if I have a topic I want to research I am able to annotate it using diigo and go back and look at what I highlighting within each site. This can be useful in my classroom because I can highlight websites before I teach the lessons the next day and it will assist me. With team members this is good because you can all put your input into one topic. We can share the website with each other and all highlight it. For any professional effort it is easy to find sites and highlight them to help you in any profession.

  • Powerpoint could be used to support student learning at each level of Bloom's Taxonomy. It includes creating, evaluating, analyzing, applying, understanding, and remembering. You create a powerpoint, designing and planning it. You evaluate it by deciding what to involve in the power point for student learning. You analyze it by categorizing it and creating different slides to separate the information. Applying by illustrating what needs to be incorporated. Understanding by discussing information in the slides that pertain to the information being portrayed. Remembering by describing the information in th PowerPoints and recalling the facts and basic concepts.

  • It is very important for teachers to stay aware and updated with new technology updates. Even powerpoint updates, because that is something that is used in a normal classroom everyday. There are different websites that can help stay informed on these upcoming relevant technology trends.
