I decided to do an interview for the ILP #2. I interviewed my middle school teacher. I did this through twitter messenger. I reached out to her and asked it I could interview her on technology in the classroom and did so! Here are screenshots of our interview:

- When I was in highschool twitter was a very popular social media platform. We used to it communicate with our friends, post everything, and follow funny or relatable accounts. Once I got to college I stopped using twitter. For this class we used it in a very useful way and I enjoyed it. I learned that there is a lot of pages on twitter that are informational, not just for fun. It is perfect for teachers because we can get ideas on lessons and different things in the classroom. It is also helpful to keep up with teacher information.I have not experienced any issues, twitter is very easy to understand and use.
- I used weebly to create my web design. I like weebly and I did not like weebly. I like that it gave me a outline. It helped me because I did not have to start from scratch in creating a whole website. I did not like it because it was difficult moving things around from the way it was originally set up. I like that I learned the skills of creating my own website. I will improve on this and finding ways to move things around the way I like. I will definitely use this in the future to share with my students' parents in the classroom. link to website: https://osd17eme.weebly.com/
- Assistive technology is any device, software, or equipment that helps people work around their challenges. Some examples of assistive technology are text-to-speech and word prediction. Assistive technology includes low-tech tools, too, like pencil grips. Adaptive technology refers to special versions of already existing technologies or tools that provide enhancements or different ways of interacting with the technology. The adaptation helps individuals with a disability or impairment accomplish a specific task. I have used assistive technologies. An example is an audio book rather than reading a book to help me get through it. Challenges can be added when using adaptive technologies in the classroom because it might distract some students and it might make the students using these feel uncomfortable because they are doing something different from the rest.

- I decided to look on a teacher page for Valley View elementary school. I did so because this is the elementary school that I attended when I was in elementary school. Within this website they included a mission statement and many pictures of students. They have news and events, dates for school breaks. There is a mini letter to the teachers and videos about the school. They have links that go to all of the different departments in the school. Lastly, they have student highlights.

- I envision myself using technology to accomplish my professional responsibilities more efficiently and effectively in many different ways. To start, I will only use the technology that I am very comfortable with and I know I can use to benefit my classroom. I will use the smart board, most likely every day, to teach lessons. I will use Microsoft word as well for all of my lessons. I will now use diigo to be able to go back to websites that I thought were useful. I will use PowerPoint to share my information to my class as well.
- When I visited the sandbox the tool that was my favorite was the 3D crayons. These would be very useful in my classroom. This 3D crayon made a little drawing that I would normal do on a piece of paper, come to life, by actually creating an object in 3D. I created and flower and I heart. For my first grade class I could use this to teach them shapes. They could each 3D draw different shapes and pass them around to learn the different shapes.

I created an infographic for my Independent Learning Project. I did so by using a tool called Piktochart. Within my piktochart I created a timeline of technology throughout the years and what technology may come about in the future. I think this is very prevalent to our class because we are learning about technology in the classroom and I researched the evolution of technology.

- My initial experience with Diigo was good, but I still get a little confused. Although, it is very useful in many ways. It is a very powerful research tool. It makes it easy to take notes directly on a website and share to the class what notes we have taken, and also be able to take notes on different peoples websites. This could be very useful for not forgetting about websites and your thoughts on each website. I like how you can add notes on every website, but I don't like how I have to re upload Diigo on the desktop every time I need it.
- I really enjoy blogging. Blogging in this class is very useful for me because it gives me time to think back on what I have learned in class, and express how I feel about it in my blog. I enjoy expressing my own opinions and sharing them. It lets me reflect on paper. There's nothing about blogging that I have come across and not enjoyed because it is pretty much straight forward. I like that it can also be made individualistic. I learned that it can be shared to the public and my classmates could make comments on it as well. This could be a very useful too in the future to remember the thoughts, struggles, and likes/dislikes for different programs and topics.
- Web 2.0 is the second generation of the world wide web. There are tools included and these can be used to create and share products and projects. A tool that can be useful as a teacher would be instagram. Instagram is not a tool we covered in class, but it is a tool I have for my own self. Instagram could be useful in the classroom if we were to make an account as a teacher and follow all different teacher based accounts.

- When I was growing up twitter was a social media site I always visited. When I got to college I did not use twitter anymore and deleted the app. Now that I have been using twitter in this class I see that it can be a very useful took. In this class I interact with other students taking this course and I follow many different accounts that have to do with teaching and technology in the classroom. I have enjoyed using twitter for this reason and it is even teaching me new things. In my future career I am going to follow different accounts that have to do with my grade level that I teach and other informational accounts. This will help me apply different aspects of education to my classroom.
- Digital divide means the gulf between people who have ready access to computers and the internet, and those who do not. The student that do not have computers in their home might struggle more than other students. This is because studying and accessing in class work has a lot to do with the internet. The students without their own laptops have to go the extra mile to go to the library to study and get the information they need. This advantage for students may hurt students in the classroom. I will make sure that I give students time in class to complete all of their work so they do not get caught behind.
- Academic software for students is very necessary especially within this time period. Technology is very advanced and in many ways it is helpful for teachers and students. Two software tools that I will use most likely every day in the classroom include power point and Microsoft word. I will use power points to teach the lessons and have the students come up and click on thing and engage. I will also use word to create my lesson plans and to contact students parents as well.
